Applicants


Criteria for Applications:

JET will accept applications on the behalf of children who meet the following criteria:

  • be between 7 and 13 years old
  • have suffered tragedy or trauma, or be at risk in some way
  • be from families who cannot meet the cost of such education unaided

Please note that JET will not help for reasons of educational preference or financial difficulty alone.

Application timings:

In order that your case can be properly considered, please ensure that applications are submitted at least six weeks prior to our Screening Committee meetings, held as follows:

  • March (please apply by 1st February)
  • June (please apply by 1st May)
  • October (please apply by 1st September)

Applications to other Trusts:

JET administers applications to:

  • Haberdashers’ St Catherine Foundation (for years 11 and 13, UNFORESEEN financial circumstances)
  • The Fishmongers’ Company (a one-off grant to children of single parents, UK citizens only)
  • WO Street Charitable Trust (a one-off grant to support UNFORESEEN crisis in years 11 and 13)
  • The Southdown Trust (year 9 onwards, grant to start in year 9)

Help for parents:

If you are the parent of a child who is supported by JET you may wish to talk in confidence with another

parent who has been through the same experience. If so, please contact us at the JET office, and we can
